Kamido Aikido Self-Defense

Kamido Aikido self-defense routines are based upon the laws of physics and utilize the principles of body mechanics (kinesiology) to make the techniques extremely effective. The result is greater confidence in your ability to defend yourself.

The exercises and self-defense techniques in Kamido Aikido will help you to improve your physical fitness, endurance, muscle tone, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination, and psycho-somatic or mind-body coordination.


Character for Kids

Our focus for your child is not only on the physical aspects of self-defense, but on the aspect of character development.  Our exclusive Character for Kids program is part of this focus.

Martial Arts classes themselves build strong character by the way the classes emphasize good behavior, focus, and respect.  However, our Character for Kids program takes character training for your child much further, by having your child practice good character habits at home and in school.


Tae Kwon Do Karate

This Korean-style karate system specializes in developing hand and foot offensive and defensive skills along with improving focus, confidence, self-discipline and respect for others. Students are taught basic techniques of blocks, punches, kicks and forms. They also learn methods to effectively challenge physical or mental bullying by confronting it through positive verbal intervention, thereby defusing the situation before it gets started.

PraiseMoves: Alternative to Yoga

These classes include deep stretching, gentle movement, isometric exercise and Scripture to help in weight loss, stress relief, flexibility and strength.

SINCE 2001  PraiseMoves has been called “The Christian ALTERNATIVE to yoga”. Our classes are a series of stretching and strength-building postures, each linked to a verse of Scripture to focus upon while doing the posture. For example, during The Angel posture, we meditate upon Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways.”

While building strength, flexibility and balance in our bodies; we are also being “transformed by the renewing of (our) minds” on the Word of God (Romans 12:2), nourishing our spirits and praising the Lord through His Word.



Senior Strength Class

This strengthening and balance class is specially designed for seniors but is very beneficial for anyone who is interesting in improving their energy, balance, overall strength and mobility. Participants work mainly from chairs using their own body weight and resistance bands to help strengthen core and lower body muscles. Although the pace is slow and steady, muscles get a great workout!

Master’s Total Fitness

This program is designed to assist participants in their pursuit of health and wellness through diet, exercise, and positive lifestyle changes.  Participants will work with a Certified Health Coach to design an individualized program tailored to their own goals and needs.

Because we believe that humans were created by God as triune beings comprised of body, soul and spirit, all three of these interdependent areas need to be developed and maintained according to God’s principles.
